My Website

Welcome to my website, enjoy Your stay.My MZ3 at 4 weeks

The Basics:

This website is about my new ride. Well it's not exactly new as of the date I write this. It was purchased October 20, 2010. The stock ride was about $28,000 out the door and had almost everything I would have wanted at that price. Would have liked the rear Aero and center underskirt and foot-well lighting but those will wait. So what I got was:

  • 2011 Mazda Mazda3 S 5-door Grand Touring
  • 2.5L 16-Valve VVT I4
  • Graphite Mica
  • Technology Package

Mods in shipment

Ordered and am waiting for arrival of a WOLO Bad Boy 419 horn to repalce the weak OEM version. I also have some 3M DiNoc Carbon Fiber vinyl for some of the funky chrome, inside and out. And arriving soon will also be an OEM Cargo Net. And lastly when it stops raining I plan on laying a nice layer of wax.

Modifications

Modifications:

Modifications will not be regular or significant. As a daily driver it will remain mostly stock. Mostly changes will be aesthetic except for the occasional performance mod. To date I have made only a few changes. Future ideas for mods are wide and varied. But living in California places many limitations on what can’t be done. I would have tinted the front driver and passenger windows if it was legally permissible. Because it is not, and I wanted at least the back done, I chose to avoid having something I could be pulled over for and did only the rear window and rear passengers windows. Just not worth the risk! I have read through many discussion board threads on various sites and have seen lots of cool mods. But I am intimidated by things like the headlight and taillight black out mods. But they do look SWEET! And I don’t want to be removing lots of parts both inside and out. So what modifications have I made? Will here’s a short list of the past, present and future:

Current:

  • OEM, All Weather Floor Mats
  • OEM, Rear Bumper  Steps
  • Window Tint, 5% [Limo Black] (rear passenger R&L, rear window)*

Coming Soon:

  • New badging
  • 3M Di Noc Carbon Fiber for interior trim pieces

The road ahead:

  • Clear Bra (maybe…still undecided here due to cost)
  • Tinting the stock OEM fog lights
  • SRI or CAI (when will Simota, Corksport, Injen or K&N get a CARB exempt product on the market?)
  • Wolo horn (to replace the wimpy stock one)
  • Blacked out badges
  • OEM, LED Foot-well lighting
  • LED swap (Map, Dome, Cargo and backup lights)

New badge

Received the new badge by mail yesterday. Will replace the current one at a later date. I'll save it for the day I wash, wax, claybar (probably), and wax some more. Maybe I'll do the interior vinyl wrapping too at the same time. The 3M Di Noc is due in this week. Will try to take before/after photos but definetly have to resize the photos or I'll run out of web-space here. Stay tuned...
